M.I.A Little Florist

Hello dear long lost friends! I am pleased to say that I have tons of pictures to fill you in on the little pretty things that I have been making these past few weeks. Miss y'all!
This number might be in a magazine! It was for Green Light a new little furniture shop on Roncy

A gardeny sympathy piece in the softest pinks and blues.

A fun and funky little arrangement for an artist.
Welcome back Amaryllis! How I have missed you.

Weekly flowers for our friends at Shop Girls in Parkdale.

Just a little hand tied bouquet with some meteor Kale.

Weekly flowers for our meaty friends at Barque Smokehouse.

New little vessels for me to play with. They are so darling.

A lovely wild arrangement in a mason jar wrapped in burlap.

Bedridden

Day two stuck in the exact same position. All I want to do is get some stuff done and go back to playing with flowers. Soon enough my friends. Until then, cheers to painkillers and trashy television.

Weekly Flowers For Local Friends

It is such a treat to get to deliver beautiful flowers every week to our friends at Shop Girls. It is amazing what you can do with a modest budget when a vase is borrowed from the shop.

Hand Painted Little Lamp of Mine!

Hello dear friends! Here is the first of many snippets of my little girly apartment. Everyday I am working on my little gem of a place and I plan on sharing every little bit of the way with you.

New fave purchase shown above is my antique hand painted lamp.
If you could believe it, it was only $8.00 from my favorite little Sally Anne in Parkdale.

Anna Banana & Apple Jack

We have adopted to little furry friends! Please welcome Anna Banana & Apple Jack to my lovely little flower shop Sweetpea's. We were initially told that Mrs. Banana was 7 years old... However, in fine print we read a weak later "1 year old" scribbled in by the vet. So much for getting two senior citizens... we got ourselves some kittens. Every morning we await their sweet little faces at the door, only to walk in on running sinks, broken vases, Orchids on the floor and one time Mrs. Banana even got stuck in between the 100 year old floor boards... don't ask how and don't worry we got her out and it will never happen again. Life is always an adventure at our quirky little petting zoo... i mean flower shop. Talk soon!

Nice to meet you to... New York Times

This year-old flower shop is a trove of hyper-local design. Hand-sewn quilts (150 dollars) come courtesy of the owner Sara Jameson's mother. And pretty lavender sachets (8 dollars) are made by Tellie Hunt, the tattooed rocker who works behind the counter.

Can you believe it?! I sure can't! Your little florist is mentioned in the New York Times this week! It just blows my mind to see my picture at the top of the page in one of the biggest newspapers in North America. Did I mention that it was released on my birthday! Thats what I call a roaring start to my twenties! Still kind of in shock.

Other good news... I finally am all settled into my new quaint little apartment and have a computer again. Therefore, no more excuses I will once again be that avid blogger that I once was. I can`t wait to show you photos of my new diggs. It is probably the girliest apartment that could exist in this neck of the woods. In my opinion, any newly single gal should absolutely fill her apartment with all things pink and floral.

M.I.A in Blogland

I know it's bad. It has been so long since my last post and I am ashamed. I always have a guilty conscience when I don't blog for long periods of time. Things have just been CRAZY. With some of the biggest obstacles I have ever faced in my life I just haven't felt inspired to blog. Enough with my rant though, I decided to treat you to an absolutely delightful little wedding we did recently. Burlap, Garden Roses, a soft palette and rustic venue... how can it get much better. I hope to have another second to breathe in order to catch up with you guys again soon. I miss ya!

Design Idea's

A lot of big changes have been happening in my life. I am officially going to be on my own for the first time in three years. Parkdale here I come, I've missed you! After living with my sweetheart for the past three years I am going to have to settle for a very quaint Bachelor. My quest for you is to see if you have any design ideas to maximize small space and increase storage in my tiny little apartment. Things change and I am very excited to start this new chapter of my life.

Proms For Life

Just stumbled upon this corsage I did way back when it was peony and prom season. All the young men coming in to get their ladies something nice just warms my heart. Not to mention all of the moms that were ordering for their sons... how adorable. Although I am past my prom years I am so delighted to be apart of it every year.

Mixing Pinks

I'm not usually the kind of gal to mix blue based pinks and red based pinks but for some reason this one just clicked. Sometimes when you have colours that bridge to another colour you can pull off anything.

Peony To Be

Finally posting pictures of a little wedding I did. It was just a small ceremony with a bridal bouquet and a boutonniere for the groom. Simple, easy and stunning with no stress. I am going to be mourning Peonies for a little while... at least until Dahlia's are fully in season.

Thelma & Louise

No, this arrangement did not kill a man, go on a crazy road trip or sleep with Brad Pitt. However, it was enjoyed by Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis at the 10 year anniversary of the film. What an exciting day! Hiding in this desert piece are Thistle, Hosta Leaves, Succulents, Air Plants and more!

Little Florist Lavender Sachets!

It's been a long week of late nights but they are finally done. These little lavender sachets are made of of recycled fabric and hand sewn by little old me. Lavender sachets are great for linen drawers and closets or under your pillow. Simply squeeze the pouch and the scent of lavender will be released and depending on how often it is used can last you up to 3 years. Lavender is also a naturel moth repellant in your closet and is wonderful for treating insomnia under your pillow.

The Wedding Details

I finally have the photos of the rest of the wedding. I thought I would share some of the photos of centerpieces, boutonnieres and standards that were not shown in my previous post of this wedding. Still loving how unique this wedding was with the bright orange, navy blue and chartreuse green.
